Restaurant Pastry Cook

Wentworth by the Sea, a Marriott Hotel and Spa has a current opening for a Cook to join our Restaurant Pastry Team!

This is the place for you if you thrive in fast-paced culinary environment, are able to communicate well, take pride in your appearance and care about taste and presentation.

Our Pastry Cook is responsible for plating up desserts for the restaurant as well as assisting the pastry chef in daily production.

Qualities needed for our Pastry Cook:

• Previous pastry experience either from school or in a professional kitchen


• Experience using scales and mixers


• Familiarity with basic pastry elements such as meringue, mousse, cookies and cakes


• Availability to work nights and weekends


• Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently


• Creativity is a plus!

A successful Pastry Cook must be motivated with an eye for detail, a high sense of team spirit and pride and the drive and desire to not just meet, but exceed guest's expectations. Customer service skills are also important to represent the hotel professionally through all interactions.
