Our Repair Technicians play an important role in keeping our Popeyes restaurants, equipment, and facilities operating safely and efficiently. We're looking for a hands-on, dependable Repair Technician to support our restaurants throughout the Greater Orlando area. If you enjoy troubleshooting, working independently, and figuring out how to fix a problem the right way, this could be a great fit. From diagnosing equipment issues and completing preventive maintenance to responding when a restaurant needs help, you'll be a key partner to our restaurant teams.

What You'll Do

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair restaurant equipment and facility-related issues across assigned Popeyes locations.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance to help reduce equipment downtime and emergency repairs.
• Respond to service requests and prioritize repairs based on urgency and impact to restaurant operations.
• Diagnose issues involving kitchen equipment, plumbing, electrical components, HVAC/refrigeration, lighting, fixtures, and general building maintenance within your level of training and certification.
• Complete repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, hardware, tile, drywall, and other general facility needs.
• Identify when specialized or licensed vendor support is required and help coordinate service when appropriate.
• Communicate clearly with restaurant leaders regarding repair status, timelines, and next steps.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work, parts used, and outstanding repair needs.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, parts, and vehicle in a safe and organized manner.
• Partner with restaurant and operations leadership to identify recurring equipment or facility issues and recommend solutions.
• Travel between restaurants throughout the Greater Orlando market and occasionally assist restaurants in other SBH Foods markets.
• Follow company safety procedures and applicable codes and regulations.

Schedule & Availability

Restaurant maintenance doesn't always happen on a perfect schedule. This position typically works 40–50 hours per week, with seasonal needs impacting the schedule. Summer months may require additional hours, particularly when HVAC and air-conditioning needs increase.

We're looking for someone who can be flexible when our restaurants need support. This includes:

• Availability to assist with repair needs after 5:00 p.m. when necessary.
• Willingness to finish jobs already in progress when additional time is needed.
• Ability to respond to urgent restaurant maintenance needs and emergencies.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and determine whether immediate attention is required or if the repair can safely be completed the following day.
• Occasional extended or out-of-market travel to support other SBH Foods restaurants.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in facilities maintenance, equipment repair, HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, restaurant maintenance, or a related skilled trade.
• Restaurant or commercial kitchen equipment repair experience strongly preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to diagnose problems, determine appropriate solutions, and work independently.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC/refrigeration, and general building systems preferred.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Comfortable using mobile technology to receive work orders, document repairs, and communicate with the team.
• Strong organization and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple service requests.
• Professional and service-oriented when working with restaurant teams and outside vendors.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel regularly between restaurant locations throughout the Greater Orlando area.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work in tight spaces as needed.
• Ability to safely use ladders, hand tools, and power tools.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors, around restaurant equipment, and in varying temperatures.
• Ability to stand and move for extended periods while completing repairs.
