Job Description - Restaurant Server



Job Summary:


Ondus inside AC By Marriott Vancouver Waterfront is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Restaurant Server to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our guests in the restaurant and ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable and memorable. As a team member of our restaurant, you will help to maintain the high standards of food quality and service set by our hotel brand.

Compensation & Benefits:

This is a full-time, hourly position with a starting compensation of $17.13 per hour. Pay will be distributed on a biweekly basis. Our team members also enjoy benefits such as:

Responsibilities:

- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and professional manner
- Take guests' food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Communicate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate preparation of orders
- Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address any issues or concerns
- Maintain a neat and clean dining area, ensuring tables and furniture are sanitized and set up properly for each guest
- Inform guests of daily specials and any menu changes
- Recommend menu items and provide knowledgeable descriptions of food and beverage options
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and in accordance with hotel policies
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Assist in meeting or exceeding sales and revenue goals by upselling and promoting additional services and offerings
- Follow all steps of service for every table
-Work well in a team setting 

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of serving experience in a fast-paced restaurant
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage items
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible shifts
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to obtain any required food and/or alcohol certifications in accordance with state and local laws
