A local mold and remediation company is seeking a diligent and skilled Mitigation Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing various tasks related to mold/fire inspection, remediation, and mitigation under the supervision of senior technicians and project managers. This role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform on-site mold inspections and assessments to identify sources of moisture intrusion and mold growth
• Set up containment barriers and implement proper safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination during remediation activities
• Execute mold remediation procedures, including removal of contaminated materials, cleaning, disinfection, and drying of a affected areas
• Operate equipment such as air scrubbers, dehumidifiers, and HEPA vacuums to facilitate the mitigation process
• Assist in the demolition and reconstruction of structures affected by mold damage, including removal and replacement of drywall, flooring, and insulation
• Monitor environmental conditions using moisture meters and hygrometers to ensure effective drying and prevention of mold recurrence
• Document all work performed, including pre- and post-remediation assessments, moisture readings, and photographs
• Adhere to industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices for mold remediation and mitigation
• Collaborate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and clients to ensure timely completion of projects and customer satisfaction
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, and ensure proper maintenance and storage of tools and materials

Who We’re Looking For

• High School Diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in mold remediation, water damage restoration, or related field preferred
• Valid Driver’s license with a clean driving record required
• Prior experience in mold remediation, mitigation, or construction related work preferred
• Strong mathematical knowledge required
• Knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols preferred
• Ability to interpret and follow technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Physical stamina and ability to perform strenuous tasks in various environmental conditions
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with clients and team members

What You Can Expect

• $15.00 - $20.00/hr depending on experience
• Schedule of Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, with an on-call rotation
