Job Description - Retail and Event Marketing Promoter - Boise

POSITION SUMMARY Our Event Marketers attend promotional events including, but not limited to: home shows, fairs, 3rd party retail sites, and additional sites, as a unified team of representatives. They work together and support one another as they strive to meet both shared and individual goals and set qualified appointments for our in-home Design Consultants. Event Marketers play a pivotal role in our company’s success. They hold the power to set the tone for our customer relationships by applying their skillful communication tactics to build trust and show care for the unique needs and preferences of each prospect; both honestly and authentically. They are an agent of the company, bringing our solutions directly to consumers and setting expectations for how Renewal by Andersen respects the honor of being welcomed into our customers’ homes. In these conversations, they demonstrate their knowledge and expertise to adeptly address concerns, highlight benefits, and provide relevant information. Customer service and sales skills, such as conversational agility, empower our agents to adapt their approach and deliver tailored solutions based on the responses they receive. Resilience in the face of potential rejection and the ability to maintain professional enthusiasm in any situation are essential characteristics to their success. QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: • Must be highly organized and intrinsically motivated. • Proven ability to set and achieve daily goals. • Personable demeanor and friendly attitude. • Ability to develop a rapport with the team and prospective homeowners. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • Tendency to embrace challenge with a resilient mindset. • Possession of a valid Driver’s License with an insurable driving record per company standards: o To drive an RBA or personal vehicle employees are required to hold a valid Driver’s License and current auto insurance as required by law, be an approved driver by RbA's insurance, and provide copies to the Human Resources department • Willingness to reasonably withstand the elements throughout each season: 1 Renewal by Andersen - Proprietary & Confidential o This job will have you working in the field in a variety of weather conditions including, but not limited to: heat, cold, rain, and wind. It is important that you observe all safety protocols and protect yourself and team members during the workday. o There may be times where due to weather conditions, field work may be called off. This will be decided at the discretion of the Non-Traditional Marketing Manager and will be communicated to the team before the start of the workday. In these instances, alternative work such as training or role playing may be done in lieu of field work. CORE COMPETENCIES Communication | Relationship Building | Teamwork |Planning and Organization Integrity | Adaptability RESPONSIBILITIES This position is responsible for the following: • Achieve sales and demo goals outlined by management. • Compliance with department policies and procedures. • Maintain a healthy team culture by engaging in the team group chat conversation, supporting team members, and offering help where needed. • Demonstrate integrity in all interactions with team members, office staff, and homeowners. • Maintain a safe and productive environment in both the office and the field. • Ensure you have all the necessary equipment daily. • Meet uniform and hygiene requirements. • Keep the event work area clean, including the company vehicle while in use. • Utilize continuous improvement and training opportunities. • Engage in training methods like role-playing activities to improve interactions with homeowners. • Utilize all performance management tools and processes offered by RbA. • Meet attendance and performance expectations. • Provide Signature Service in accordance with Renewal by Andersen standards. • Perform any other related, unrelated, unassigned, unspecified, out of the ordinary or special duties assigned. • Event Marketers will have the opportunity to work retail shifts. During retail shifts, Event Marketers will be held to the same high standard of presentation, behavior, and performance within 3rd party retailer partner locations. Below are actions and indicators which reflect effective Signature Service: a. Consistently achieve an individual HPD (hours per demo) at or below 10 in Events (15 in Retail). Ways to achieve this: Renewal by Andersen - Proprietary & Confidential 2 o Hitting shift goals consistently. o Setting qualified appointments to run for soonest available days/times. b. Achieve a demo rate (demo no sale or sale) of 90% or better. Ways to achieve this: o Confirm need for window/door replacement with install of 3 plus units, project within our scope of practice. o Set the expectation for a 60–90-minute consultation. o Ensure that all homeowners will be present for consultation. o Achieve an all party rate of 90% or higher. c. Achieve a 40% cancellation rate or lower. Ways to achieve this: o Find the best available time for AHO while setting. o Set with urgency and build value for the consultation. o Provide incentives such as the $200 project voucher card. d. Exceptional dependability and communication. Ways to achieve this: o Arrive on time on task to your assigned shifts. o Communicate any needs for either scheduling or performance. o Actively participate in your ongoing coaching, development, and team training. Metrics and goals evolve based on business needs, reflecting our commitment to continuous improvement. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, carry up to 50 lbs., bend, stoop, reach, and perform repetitive motions. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision. Communication requirements include English verbal speech and written communication. The Event Marketer position involves operating in diverse environments to engage with members of the community. The work environment can vary significantly, and candidates should be prepared for the following conditions: indoor and outdoor environments, travel via automobile, variable hours, and changing locations. COMPENSATION 1. Hourly, paid semimonthly 2. Eligibility for demo bonuses, and commission on sales per the Event Marketing Employee Agreement & Compensation Plan.
