Retail Associate

Are you an outgoing and engaging person who is looking to grow within a corporation? We are looking for a Retail Associate in the Gift Shop of Ojo Caliente Mineral Springs to create an engaging shopping experience for customers while interacting in a real and authentic way. The Retail Associate works as a team player by assisting the Assistant Retail Manger and Retail Manager with daily tasks.

1. High school diploma (or equivalent) preferred. 
2. Previous retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
3. On-the-job training provided.
4. Punctuality and reliability are critical.
5. Must be available to work at least one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) 
6. Excellent verbal communication skills.
7. Excellent active listening skills.
8. Excellent sales and customer service skills.
9. Ability to anticipate customers’ needs.
10. Ability to recommend merchandise to customers.
11. Ability to operate or to quickly learn the stores point-of-sale system.
12. Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
13. Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds at a time. 
14. Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the retail space.
