Retail Associate (Seasonal) Resort Gift Shop

 Join our team as a Seasonal Retail Associate and help create a welcoming, memorable shopping experience for our resort guests. In this guest-facing role, you’ll assist customers with purchases, maintain an organized and visually appealing retail space, and support daily gift shop operations. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy customer service, retail sales, and working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

What You’ll Do

• Provide friendly, attentive customer service to resort guests and assist with merchandise selection 
• Operate a computerized POS system to process cash, credit, and other transactions accurately 
• Open and close registers, including verifying cash banks, balancing drawers, and completing end-of-shift procedures 
• Maintain retail displays, including merchandising shop floors and window displays 
• Receive, inspect, tag, and restock merchandise 
• Monitor inventory levels, assist with monthly inventory counts, and communicate reorder needs 
• Keep the store clean, organized, and well-stocked (dusting, vacuuming, straightening displays) 
• Gift wrap items and assist guests with purchases as needed 
• Support overall retail operations and complete additional tasks as assigned by leadership

 What We’re Looking For

• Must be 18 years of age or older 
• Previous retail, cashier, or customer service experience preferred (not required) 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
• Basic math skills and attention to detail for handling transactions 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment 
• Dependable, team-oriented, and willing to learn 

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time 
• Frequent use of hands for operating a register, handling merchandise, and stocking shelves 
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 lbs occasionally 
• Repetitive motions such as scanning items, folding, and hanging merchandise 

Work Environment

• Retail shop setting within a busy resort environment 
• Frequent interaction with guests and team members 
• May require working weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods 
• Exposure to moderate noise levels and high guest traffic 
• Fast-paced environment with frequent multitasking
