We have a new opening for a Retail Food Manager for a community hospital in Duncan, OK. As the Retail Manager, you will have a strong customer service focus and experience with retail food concepts.

The successful candidate will identify customer needs and expectations. You will employ your culinary and managerial skills to play a critical role in maintaining and enhancing our customers’ satisfaction.  

Responsibilities

• Promote and drive retail food sales 
• Manage service levels to enhance customer satisfaction
• Manage the Retail Food area (both FOH and BOH)
• Help in the preparation and design of all food and drink menus
• Work together with our dietitians on menus and offerings for our residents
• Produce high-quality plates both design
• Ensure that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
• Lead and develop team and understand how to manage conflict with resolution
• Manage and train kitchen staff, establish a working schedule and assess staff’s performance
• Order supplies to stock inventory appropriately
• Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Skills

• Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, Chef, or related field. 
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
• Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
• Familiar with the industry’s best practices
• BS degree in culinary science or a related certificate would be a plus

• Proven experience as a Retail food manager/chef experience
• Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
• Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
• Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
• Familiar with the industry’s best practices
• Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
• BS degree in culinary science or a related certificate would be a plus
• Culinary experience: 3 years (Preferred)
• Cooking: 3 years (Preferred)
