Reports To: Director of Sales Position Summary Parker Farm Supply is seeking a dependable and hands-on Retail Sales Lead to oversee the day-to-day operations of our retail farm supply store. This role functions similarly to a retail manager and is responsible for supervising in-store operations, outdoor yard operations, and the metal roofing supply side of the business. As Parker Farm Supply is owned by Lyon Metal Roofing, this position plays a key role in the sales, delivery coordination, and organization of metal roofing materials, tools, and accessories. The Retail Sales Lead will lead by example, ensuring smooth daily operations, excellent customer service, accurate inventory management, and a clean, organized retail and yard environment. Key Responsibilities Retail & Store Operations

• Oversee daily operations of the retail store, ensuring efficient workflow and a positive customer experience


• Supervise opening and closing procedures, including beginning and end-of-day cash counts


• Ensure daily deposits are completed accurately and on time


• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store appearance

Sales & Customer Service

• Assist customers with product selection, pricing, and order coordination


• Oversee sales of farm supply products, metal roofing panels, tools, and accessories


• Coordinate metal roofing orders and assist with scheduling deliveries or customer pickups


• Resolve customer questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner

Inventory Management

• Monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels for retail products and metal roofing materials


• Ensure products are stocked, labeled, and placed correctly on shelves and outdoor stack areas


• Coordinate restocking and communicate inventory needs to management


• Maintain organized inside and outside product placement

Yard & Outdoor Operations

• Oversee day-to-day outdoor operations, including loading products for customers


• Ensure safe and efficient handling of materials and equipment


• Supervise and assist with propane filling station operations


• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards in the yard area

Leadership & Oversight

• Lead and support retail staff, setting expectations and maintaining accountability


• Train team members on products, procedures, and safety practices


• Serve as a point of contact between retail operations and ownership

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail management, farm supply, building materials, or a similar environment preferred


• Strong organizational and leadership skills


• Ability to manage multiple areas of operation simultaneously


• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors


• Basic math, cash handling, and inventory management skills


• Strong communication and customer service skills


• Ability to lift and assist with loading materials as needed

Work Environment This role involves a combination of indoor retail work and outdoor yard operations. The Retail Sales Lead must be comfortable working in varying weather conditions and assisting with physical tasks when needed.
