Retirement Farm Assistant Manager/Groon - VA

Responsibilities include:

• Daily horse care, including feeding, turnout, grooming, stalls, and general husbandry


• Monitoring horses’ health, body condition, appetite, and behavior


• Administering medications and treatments as directed


• Assisting with veterinary, farrier, dental, and other appointments


• Maintaining accurate health and treatment records


• Helping oversee farm facilities, paddocks, fencing, and equipment


• Communicating professionally with horse owners and assisting with farm tours


• Supporting staff supervision and responding to equine or farm emergencies

Schedule: Full-time, year-round position with one regular day off per week. Must live on-site and be available for after-hours emergencies as needed.
