Retirement Plan Specialist

Our retirement plan support specialists help our clients and their employees navigate the confusing world of 401(k) accounts. They are detail-oriented and love working with clients to answer their questions and put them on a path to a healthy retirement. About the role:

• A day in the life of a retirement plan support specialist includes supporting our clients and their employees with 401(k) knowledge, working closely with the retirement plan manager and benefits team, and administering Nextep’s 401(k) plan. 
• This role requires an eye for detail because you’ll be monitoring eligibility, enrollment, and participation changes, as well as handling mergers/transfers of prior retirement plan assets and reconciliation and reporting. 
• Manage the new adopter installation process with Nextep’s 401(k) partner to ensure timely and compliant plan installation.
• Develop and distribute communication materials, including newsletters and guides, to promote retirement plan awareness and engagement among employees.

About you:

• You have a high school diploma or equivalent. 
• You have at least one to two years of benefits, 401(k), or customer service experience.
• You have some ERISA experience in the retirement industry.
