About the Role: As a Retirement Services Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our pension administration processes. Under the guidance of our Retirement Services Manager, you'll be responsible for determining pension eligibility, processing applications, and handling various pension-related tasks with precision and accuracy. From retirement pensions to death benefit claims, your attention to detail and commitment to compliance will be essential in maintaining the integrity of our plans.

Hours & Compensation:

• Pay Rate: $25/hr
• Hours: 9-5
• Duration: Minimum 12 weeks, with the possibility of extension

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Determine pension eligibility and process applications in compliance with plan documents and regulations.
• Analyze applications for completeness and accuracy, drafting follow-up correspondence when necessary.
• Conduct required minimum distribution calculations and annual recalculations.
• Support batch application processes and test system updates.
• Handle banking transactions, including stop/reissue of pension payments and reconciliations.
• Process pension overpayment and underpayment adjustments with precision.
• Contribute to special projects as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year of pension administration experience required.
• Bilingual proficiency is helpful but not required.
• College graduate with a demonstrated ability to perform pension calculations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Outstanding oral and written communication skills with a focus on customer service.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and work both independently and as part of a team.
