Returns Clerk

Description

We are seeking to fill a Returns Clerk position at our Progress Lighting – Jefferson, GA location for A Shift (6:00AM - 2:30PM), Monday through Friday. The ideal candidate is a team player who is proactive, organized, and capable of handling returns efficiently while maintaining high levels of accuracy and communication. 

The Returns Clerk is responsible for accurately processing customer returns by entering data into SAP and ensuring returned products are handled efficiently. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and effective communication with internal teams such as customer service and warehouse operations. Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Process customer returns accurately and efficiently in SAP.
• Inspect returned products for condition, accuracy, and reason for return.
• Maintain and update return records in Excel spreadsheets.
• Communicate with customer service regarding return discrepancies or missing information.
• Organize and store returned items according to company procedures.
• Assist with unloading, sorting, and verifying incoming returns.
• Operate and maneuver a hand truck to transport pallets of returned items.
• Follow and enforce PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines for assigned work areas.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following 5S methodology.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience using SAP for data entry and inventory management.
• Minimum of 2 years in customer service, returns processing, or a similar role.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Adaptability to shifting priorities and willingness to work in multiple areas as needed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Forklift experience required
