Eaton\u2019s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Revenue Recognition Center of Excellence (COE) Specialist. \n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $113000 - $165000 a year. \n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nWe are currently seeking a Specialist Revenue Recognition Center of Excellence (COE). This position is based at our North American HQ in Beachwood, OH with hybrid work available. \nPosition Overview: \nThe Revenue Recognition COE Specialist ensures accurate US GAAP (ASC 606) revenue recognition for organizational arrangements. This role handles complex revenue accounting, including contract review, monthly close, and journal entries, while maintaining compliance with company policies and SOX controls and supporting process and system improvements. You will work closely with the CoE leadership, Finance, and IT to maintain accurate revenue reporting and assist with automation initiatives. \nJob Responsibilities: \n\u2022 Support Senior Analysts with preparing and posting revenue-related journal entries in compliance with ASC 606. \n\u2022 Perform contract review and identify performance obligations for standard and non-standard arrangements. \n\u2022 Calculate and allocate transaction price, including SSP analysis and variable consideration estimates. \n\u2022 Partner with the business and operations finance teams to determine percent complete/milestones and project margins to ensure accurately and timely recognition. \n\u2022 Reconcile revenue subledger to the general ledger and investigate variances. \n\u2022 Support monthly and quarterly close activities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. \n\u2022 Maintain documentation for SOX controls and assist in audit requests. \n\u2022 Ensure adherence to company revenue recognition policies and procedures.\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequired (Basic) Qualifications: \n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree from an accredited institution required. \n\u2022 Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or accounting corporate roles. \n\u2022 Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future. \nPreferred qualifications: \n\u2022 Masters degree. \n\u2022 CPA or equivalent \n\n## Skills:\n\nPosition Criteria: \n\u2022 Working knowledge of ASC 606 principles and application; strong technical accounting skills. \n\u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. \n\u2022 Ability to communicate complex accounting concepts in clear, business-friendly language. \n\u2022 Advanced proficiency in Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and revenue automation tools. \n\u2022 Advanced proficiency with visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) and process automation. \n\u2022 Attention to detail. \n\u2022 Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\n\nAll positions may require participation in video and in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
