Rewarding Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

We are seeking experienced and credentialed Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) to provide patient care services within the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. This includes general respiratory therapy and sleep studies. The ideal candidates will have a minimum of two years' experience, excellent clinical judgment, and current certification with all required boards and regulatory bodies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory therapy services, including treatments, assessments, and emergency interventions.
• Manage critical care respiratory needs in intensive care settings.
• For sleep-certified RRTs: perform and analyze polysomnographic studies, titrations, and scoring.
• Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for patient assessment and treatment planning.
• Comply with all regulatory and ethical standards of respiratory care.

• Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program

• Minimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experience, including 1 year in critical care

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)

• Active license with the Respiratory Care Board of California

• Current BLS, ACLS, and OIG clearance

Additional for Sleep-Certified RRTs:

• Completion of an accredited sleep program
• Minimum of 2 years of polysomnography (PSG) experience
• One of the following sleep credentials:
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) – BRPT
• Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) – AASM
• Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) – NBRC

Contract: 5 years

Job Status: Full-time

Hours per day: 8 hours

Hourly Rate: $50/hr - $55/hr
