McCain Foods is accepting applications for a Rework Champion position, to work an 8-hour shift at the Burley, Idaho plant. The Rework Champion is responsible for ‘Held’ inventory by coordinating the following: keeping records, strip out, blending of products, flipping products, and all other dispositions. They will need to know how to perform several SAP functions, drive forklift, and perform basic line checks.

Accountabilities:

• Rework and strips our restricted packaged product.


• Balance the Held Inventory with the production cycle for all plants.


• Ensures restricted product is reworked in a timely manner.


• Communicates discrepancies in restricted inventories to the Quality Department.


• Communicates repack opportunities to the Packaging Supervisor and Lead.


• May be required to drive forklift to supply pallets and supplies to the rework team, unload trucks, and return pallets to stock.


• Understands and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality process in order to assure a quality product for our customers.


• Helps to build and promote a strong ‘Teamwork’ environment in each individual work group, the factory, and the Company.


• SAP Functions- Knows how to balance the held inventory along with the SAP movements. 


• Perform health checks on all 4 shifts


• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles to reduce held product inventory.


• Follow proper GMP and safety guidelines.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months’ related experience and/or training preferred.


• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. 

• Ability to compute rate, ration, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Proven understanding of Canadian CPG market; focused to develop understanding of McCain, our customers and consumers.

Compensation Package: $ - $ Starting at 25.16 USD hourly + Bonus eligibility + Hourly Pay Differential for applicable shifts
