Rework Technician

WHAT YOU’LL DO

We make an extraordinary product. Some might say it defies gravity! As our Rework Technician, you will be the lead investigator when a Seakeeper unit doesn’t make the cut and isn’t meeting our standards. You’ll disassemble these units and determine the root cause of the failure. You’ll connect our internal teams by communicating the results of your investigation and document your findings which will help us permanently correct our errors and increase the quality of Seakeepers we produce. You’ll make an immediate contribution to our manufacturing operations by:

• Completing teardown, technical investigation, rebuilding and testing of units returned from production


• Performing factory acceptance testing procedures and activities required to ensure that each Seakeeper is in compliance with quality standards


• Collaborating closely with internal teams to proactively communicate trends and suggestions on improvements to processes and products


• Documenting inspection results and inputting data into our database including work orders, case entry, time tracking, and rebuild reports.


• Preparing, documenting, and tracking the work of the hospital department.


• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment by complying with company procedures, rules and regulations
  

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

MUST-HAVES

• High school diploma or equivalent


• 4 – 6 years of technical product, quality, assessment or manufacturing experience


• Ability to read, understand, and assemble items with the aid of blueprints as the primary tool


• Willingness to gain knowledge of processes to manufacture, inspect, assemble and test throughout completion of product


• Superior verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present information and influence or persuade others through oral presentation in both positive and negative circumstances


• Ability to take detailed and clear notes that can be retrieved and understood by all managers


• Be mechanically inclined and proficient with Microsoft Office programs


• Able to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks and adhere with standard operating procedures and job safety parameters


• Be part doer, part leader who is motivated to improve both yourself and those around you


• Be self-motivated with unquestionable integrity and have superior time management, multitasking, organizational and prioritization skills


• Be professional, responsive, resourceful, flexible and pay close attention to detail


• Possess conceptual, process improvement, functional and technical skills


• Ability to communicate (verbal and written) fluently in English


• Ability to do the following, with or without reasonable accommodation: 
  
  
  
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and products weighing up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds occasionally
  
  
  • Stand or walk for extended periods (8–12-hour shifts) on concrete or other hard surfaces
  
  
  • Perform frequent repetitive motions such as bending, twisting, reaching, and gripping
  
  
  • Use hands and fingers to handle small parts, operate tools or controls, and assemble products with precision
  
  
  • Visually inspect products for defects, labels, or measurements
  
  
  • Distinguish sounds such as machinery alarms, beeps, or spoken instructions in a noisy environment
  
  
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe footwear
    
  
  
  
  

MORE DETAILS YOU’LL WANT TO KNOW

• You’ll be based in our Leesport, PA facility full-time


• The days and hours you’ll work will be Monday through Thursday 5:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.


• On-the-job training will be provided (we will help you become the Seakeeper expert!)


• You’ll report to the Factory Testing Manager, also based in Leesport, PA


• This is a manual labor position, working within our production department
