RF Design Engineer - 3G (UMTS) - Modernization (20336)

Modernization Project Atlanta Network Data Consistency Team -- RF Design, Performance, Optimization & Additional Resources Supporting Modernization Related Network Updates To Inusre Neighbor, Parameter, and Inter-Technology Network Data is Fully Consistent on a Daily/Weekly Basis.

The job will perform moderately difficult tasks that require limited judgment and minimum supervision, but shall confer with technical leads on unusual problems. RF Design Engineer III is responsible for link budget analysis, initial system design and dimensioning for coverage and capacity, site identification and evaluation, spectrum planning and interference analysis.

UMTS: RF Design Engineer III is at advanced skill level for UMTS network design together with basic antenna system optimization. The engineer should be able to undertake RF design related performance improvement tasks. Seasoned experience utilizing RF planning and ACP tools is a must.

A minimum of 8 years work history in RF Design & System Performance.
System Performance Experience With Nokia-Siemens GSM and UMTS Required.

Experience With NSN OSS Tools and Wireless Network Parameter Audits and Automated Corrections Of Data Is Required.

Database Expertise & MapInfo Experience is Highly Preferred.

Prior experience (2 Years exposure) to both Ericsson and Nokia-Siemens UTRAN is Required

A minimum of 3 year work history with UMTS Technology
LTE Design Knowledge Strongly Preferred 
Aircom (Asset) RF planning tool experience Preferred
Must be familiar with GIS software (MapInfo preferred)
Excellent overall computer skills requried
