Description

Risk Division 

The Risk Division develops comprehensive processes to monitor, assess and manage the risk of expected and unexpected events that may have an adverse impact on the firm. Risk teams play a critical function for the firm, driving how the firm takes and manages risk.  

Associate, Operational Risk Assessments Team 

The Operational Risk Assessment Execution team within Operational Risk is responsible for developing and implementing a standardized framework to identify, measure, monitor, and assess operational risk across the firm. The Associate will support the execution, enhancement, and strategic evolution of the firm’s Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) program.  

Responsibilities 

  • Support the execution of business-as-usual (BAU) RCSA activities, including assessment planning, stakeholder coordination, and tracking completion against established timelines 
  • Analyze assessment outputs, risk data, and control information to identify trends and areas requiring management attention 
  • Develop reporting, dashboards, and management materials that provide insight into the firm’s operational risk profile and assessment results 
  • Partner with stakeholders across the firm to support assessment execution and ongoing program enhancements 
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of assessment strategy initiatives, methodology enhancements, and process improvements 
  • Support regulatory, audit, and remediation initiatives related to the operational risk assessment framework 
  • Manage and coordinate project deliverables associated with key assessment and framework uplift initiatives 
  • Provide guidance to stakeholders on assessment requirements, standards, and supporting tools 

Qualifications 

  • 3-5 years of experience in Risk Management, Internal Audit, Compliance, or a related financial services role 
  • Basic understanding of operational risk management frameworks and risk assessment methodologies, including Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret risk and control data to identify meaningful insights 
  • Experience supporting framework enhancements or process improvements 
  • Proven ability to manage projects and coordinate deliverables across multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and intellectually curious, with a desire to understand different areas of the firm and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the operational risk program 
  • Bachelor’s degree required
