Mothers Heart Home Care, a division of Dower Personnel Services, provides compassionate, non-medical home care services throughout Maryland. We focus on client safety, dignity, and quality of life while supporting caregivers with strong oversight and guidance.
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to partner with us as an independent contractor in a flexible, PRN role supporting client care coordination and caregiver supervision.
Role Overview
The Registered Nurse (Contractor) provides clinical oversight and support to ensure clients receive appropriate, well-coordinated care. This role works closely with agency leadership and plays a key part in maintaining service quality as our home care division grows.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct initial and periodic client assessments to identify care needs and service appropriateness.
Develop, sign, and update individualized care plans based on client assessments.
Provide caregiver supervision and competency evaluations, including scheduled supervisory visits.
Deliver and document clinical training, including infection control and care-related education.
Review caregiver documentation for accuracy, completeness, and quality standards.
Maintain thorough and timely documentation of assessments, care plans, supervisory visits, and communications.
Communicate client concerns, care recommendations, and service updates to leadership.
Identify and report care concerns or unsafe practices promptly.
Support quality improvement and program development initiatives as needed.
Compensation Structure
This is a per diem, independent contractor role with flexible scheduling and a low time commitment. Compensation is structured as follows:
Initial client assessments: $125 per visit
Supervisory/quarterly visits: $100 per visit
On-call clinical support: $75 per hour
Remote care plan updates: $50 per update
Compensation is based on completed services.
Qualifications
Active Maryland Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Minimum two (2) years of nursing experience, preferably in home care, community health, or long-term care.
Knowledge of care coordination, supervision, and documentation practices.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
Professional written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel locally for client and supervisory visits.
