RN (Adult Day Services) - FT/80

Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will: 

• Provide nursing care to patients following the Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice, within the framework of the Department of Nursing, and in conjunction with Specialty-Specific Standards of Patient Care. 
• Utilize the Nursing Process to make nursing judgments and assumes responsibilities for nursing care and documentation to include delegation of work to other levels of employees. 
• Ensure practice meets compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
• Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing. 
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
• Two (2) years of medical-surgical nursing experience
• Experience with elderly and disabled populations (preferred)
• Nursing Care Knowledge for the population aged 18 and over.
• Effective people skills and communication.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite.
• Proficiency in the use of technology in care delivery.
• Ability to multi-task in a noisy and busy environment.
