We are expanding with a new, one-million-square-foot, 15-floor, state-of-the-art facility on Cleveland Clinic Main Campus designed to elevate care for complex neurological conditions — including spine injuries, epileptic seizures, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and stroke.  

This advanced building brings every stage of care under one roof, featuring dedicated spaces for outpatient services, surgery, stepdown, ICU and epilepsy monitoring, as well as additional operating rooms and expanded ambulatory, infusion, imaging, EMG, sleep and rehabilitation services. As an RN, you will assist with procedures, room procures, intakes and similar tasks. Throughout your day, you will collaborate with a tight-knit, strong-bonded caregiver family that takes pride in the impact they have on the lives of patients. You will also have access to countless professional development courses and educational resources facilitated by Cleveland Clinic. 

A caregiver in this position will work Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 5:30pm. This role will work 4 10-hr shifts and will have a rotating day off during the week based on facility needs.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.  

• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage and establish care plans.  

• Administer medications and treatments.  

• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.  

• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings. 

• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures and specialized patient care equipment. 

• Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.  

• Cover other nursing roles within the department.  

• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed. 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

• Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing 

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) 

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross 
• In areas performing moderate sedation procedures and/or cardiac stress testing, must have current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification within 6 months of hire

• One year of recent experience as an RN OR LPN, Medical Assistant and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience if applicant is a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in an ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role but remaining in the same current ambulatory Cleveland Clinic setting OR a current Cleveland Clinic caregiver in a clinical role within the same specialty area transferring into an ambulatory area 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) 

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
• May requires some exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
• Light Work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
• Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Light Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and/or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is negligible.

• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
