Cardiac Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse - RN

Position Overview

As a Cardiac PCU RN, you'll be part of an elite team providing specialized care for cardiac and medical-cardiology patients. Our unit handles both observation and inpatient cases, working with diverse cardiac conditions and post-procedural care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Manage complex cardiac conditions including AMI, Unstable Angina, and CHF
• Monitor and care for post-procedural patients (Cardiac Catheterization, Pacemakers)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Utilize EPIC EMR system for documentation and care coordination
• Provide patient/family education and support
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies and safety protocols

Required Qualifications

• Current Virginia RN license or eligibility to obtain
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• BLS certification (ACLS required within first year)
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
