Job description
Registered nurses (RNs) perform basic duties that include treating patients, educating patients about mental and medical conditions, and providing advice and emotional support to patients and/or family members, running therapeutic groups, psychiatric crisis intervention, and seclusion and restraint of patients. RNs record patients’ medical histories and symptoms, help to perform diagnostic tests and analyze results, operate medical machinery, administer treatment and medications, and help with patient follow-up and rehabilitation. RNs teach patients and their families how to manage their illness or injury, diet and exercise programs, and self-administration of medication and physical therapy. Other related duties.

- - Certs/ARRT: Techs can have RCIS or ARRT - it will depend on what they need and who they have on staff
- - #cases per day on average: 8-12 cases per day

- - Charge Nurse: yes - supervisor is on call after hours
- - Cath lab/IR Techs: Yes
- - Weekend Requirement - RN's: call is required for weekends - every other weekend, maybe more maybe less, weekend call is from 3:30pm on Friday to 7am on Monday
- - Weekend Requirement - Techs: call is required for weekends - every other weekend, maybe more maybe less, weekend call is from 3:30pm on Friday to 7am on Monday
- - Call Requirement: RN's/response time 30 min - call team is one nurse and 2 techs, evening week day call requirement depends on needs - shift is 3:30pm-7am

- - Shifts: 8 hr shifts (5), self scheduling hours are 7am-3:30pm
- - Floating: Will have to float between IR, cath lab, and EP lab
- - Floor specific orientation: one week typically
- - Common cases (IR &Cath lab): IR - venous placement, port-a-cath, fistula, biliarry tube, neph tube, IVC filter Cath lab - L & R caths, stemi's, ICD's, pacemaker, carotids, pheripherals EP lab - ablations, devices
- - Additional Notes: EP lab experience is preferred for travelers, 2 years experience required, travel experience is preferred
