Position Overview:
Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a meticulous Clinical Editor/Proofer Registered Nurse to ensure the accuracy, clarity, and compliance of NYS Dispute Resolution and External Review determinations. This role combines clinical expertise with editorial precision to produce error-free case documents, thereby improving team performance through error tracking and retraining.

Qualifications:
Education: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or graduate of an approved Registered Professional Nurses training program. Post-graduate studies demonstrating proficiency in writing, editing, and proofing skills are required.
Licensure: Must have an active NY State RN license.
Experience: Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in an acute care facility, preferably in medicine/surgery or special care units, and 1 to 3 years experience in acute care utilization review.
Technical Skills: Knowledge and experience with electronic medical records, including coding, quality, and clinical charting.
Soft Skills: Meticulous attention to detail, superior writing and editing skills, and the ability to problem-solve and work collaboratively with peers, medical, analytical, and administrative support staff. A writing sample or publication is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct a thorough review of pre-final dispute determinations using checklist tools.
Make clinical and mathematical edits to responses using provided case documentation, as necessary.
Consult with team members and supervisors as necessary to improve final product.
Complete edits check of content, references, grammar, spelling and punctuation before release of final product.
Maintain tracking and trending of errors and use findings to analyze areas of concern and highlight areas of improvement.
Will provide technical assistance and conduct/participate in staff huddles.
