Schedule: 3x12 Day shift, rotating days including weekdays and weekends
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possibility to extend)
Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
Weekly Gross Pay: $1,664

Job Overview:
We are seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time contract assignment in a correctional facility in Milan, NM. This role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care to an incarcerated population. Candidates must be confident in secure environments, have open availability, and meet federal clearance requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Execute provider orders, administer medications, and assist in examinations
• Provide nursing care during sick calls, triage, and emergency responses
• Document all patient care activities in medical records
• Supervise and monitor the work of vocational nurses and unlicensed staff
• Observe, evaluate, and document inmate behavior and health status
• Escort patients for medical treatment and assist in emergency procedures
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure secure storage
• Support audits, reporting, and NCCHC/ACA/JCAHO compliance efforts
  
• Monitor and prevent duplication or misuse of medical services
• Comply with all pharmacy laws and controlled substance regulations
  
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and potentially disruptive situations

Requirements:

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Active, unrestricted RN license in New Mexico
  
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with valid Social Security card for facility clearance
• Must reside 70+ miles away from the facility
  
• Must be able to start within 2 weeks
• Must be at least 18 years of age
  
• Valid drivers license required
• Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays
  
• No RTO (Requested Time Off) allowed during assignment
  
  

Preferred:

• 1+ year of professional nursing experience
• Experience in correctional or institutional healthcare settings
• Active AHA BLS certification
