Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (3x per week)
Contract Length: 13 weeks (with possibility to extend)
Guaranteed Hours: 36/week
Weekly Gross Pay: $1,664

Job Overview:
We are seeking a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time contract assignment in a correctional facility in Milan, NM. This position involves delivering comprehensive nursing care to an incarcerated population in a secure environment. Candidates must meet federal clearance requirements and demonstrate comfort in high-security settings.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications and follow provider orders during treatments and sick calls
• Assist in examinations, triage, and emergency procedures
• Document all care provided in accordance with facility policies
• Supervise LVNs and non-licensed medical staff
• Monitor inmate health status and behavior and provide counseling as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure proper storage of medical records and supplies
• Support audits, pharmacy adherence, and regulatory compliance (NCCHC/ACA/JCAHO)
• Respond to emergencies, perform rescue functions, and escort patients for care
• Conduct safety inspections and maintain a secure work area

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Active, unrestricted RN license in New Mexico
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid Social Security card for facility clearance
  
• Must reside 70+ miles away from the facility
• Must be able to start within 2 weeks
  
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Valid drivers license required
• Must have open availability, including weekends and holidays
• No RTO (Requested Time Off) allowed during assignment
  
  

Preferred:

• 1+ year of professional nursing experience
• Experience in correctional or institutional healthcare settings
• Active AHA BLS certification
