RN - Emergency/MedSurg Department (Nights)

Guthrie County Hospital has 2 positions for a full-time RN – ED/MedSurg available. These individuals work an average of 36 hours per week with 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM). 

This position utilizes assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation in providing comprehensive and competent patient care. Provides effective interaction with patients, family members and staff, and coordinates interdepartmental patient care activities while maintaining nursing standards, and policies of department and GCH.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing 
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Iowa
• House Supervisor experience preferred, but not required

Must have or be willing to obtain within 12 months of hire:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Required for ED
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Required for ED
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Required for ED
