RN - Emergency/MedSurg Department (PRN)

Guthrie County Hospital has an opening for a PRN/Casual RN – ED/MedSurg. This position reports to the Chief Nursing Officer and picks up shifts on varying hours with potential for both days and nights as needed.

The staff RN utilizes assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation in providing comprehensive and competent patient care. This role also provides effective interaction with patients, family members and staff, and coordinates interdepartmental patient care activities while maintaining nursing standards, and policies of department and GCH.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing 
• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Iowa

Must have or be willing to obtain within 12 months of hire:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Required for ED
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Required for ED
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), Required for ED
