A brief overview of Responsibilities:
Leadership, Management, and Operations:
Provide strong leadership and foster a positive work environment for the home health agency.
Oversee daily operations, including staff scheduling, client care coordination, and administrative functions.
Staff Supervision, Recruitment, and Development:
Recruit, train, and supervise healthcare professionals, including registered nurses, home health aides, and administrative staff.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement professional development opportunities.
Compliance, Quality Assurance, and Client Care:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and accreditation standards.
Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to maintain high standards of care and client satisfaction.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and clients to develop comprehensive care plans, ensuring adherence to standards.
Budget Management and Financial Sustainability:
Develop and manage the home health agency budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation for financial sustainability.
Communication and Collaboration:
Foster effective communication among staff, clients, and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with physicians, healthcare facilities, and community organizations to enhance the continuum of care.
Qualifications for Hospice Administrator:
A healthcare professional with a minimum of two (2) years of health-related experience, knowledge and the ability to effectively administer the Hospice Service which shall include at least one year, within the last five years, of supervisory/administrative experience in hospice care or a related health care delivery system.
