Pay: $70-$75 PER HOUR
Responsibilities
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS required; CCRN preferred
- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: "Very high acuity, high paced unit. Patients that may be a 1:1 at other facilities, may not be at Stockton. A lot of OB, oncology, & general MedSurg ICU. Overflow CVA, Whipples, post-abdomens, some hypothermia"
- Experience or 'Must have' skills: "Must be flexible - assignments can change anytime during shift. Cerner experience preferred
- Holiday Requirements: 2 out of 3 major holidays (winter holidays). Other holidays are as needed & would fall into perm staff rotation
- Is there a call or standby requirement? no
- Floating Requirements: Travelers are the 1st to float. Only floating would be to the other ICUs or to the ER for inpatient ICU holds. Could be floated to another ICU anytime during the shift.
- Scrub Color/Dress Code: Navy blue. If you wear a scrub jacket, it must also be navy. If you wear an undershirt underneath your scrub top, it must be navy, white, or black
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients. He/She communicates with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Education and Work Experience
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
- Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
- Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
