Join our Sibley Nursing Team as RN Med/Surg Observation Unit RN! 

With its 318 beds, this non-profit, full-service acute care hospital offers medical, surgical, intensive care, obstetric, oncology, orthopedic, skilled nursing inpatient services, and a 24-hour Emergency Department. Sibley’s campus is also home to Grand Oaks, an assisted living residence; a medical building with physician offices and ambulatory surgery and imaging centers; and the new patient tower with 200 spacious, private rooms. 

Med/Surg RN applicants should demonstrate a strong potential for excellence in clinical care, education, and quality improvement. You will have opportunities for leadership, mentorship, scholarship, and working with dynamic nursing and leadership staff at Sibley Memorial Hospital.

Unit/Schedule

• 25 bed Med/Surg Unit Observation Unit with 5 Hospice beds. 


• Full-Time, 36 hours per week with alternating weekends.


• 12 hour day shifts.

  Minimum Education and Experience:

• Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia.


• Associates’ Degree in Nursing or  BSN.

• AHA CPR card


• Two year plus of RN experience

Salary Range: Minimum $41.99/hour - Maximum $65.18/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
