Pay: $90-$95 Per hour
Required Certifications
ACLS, AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring (AFM), BLS (AHA), COVID Vaccine Required (Certification), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
The Registered Nurse is responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. The Registered Nurse also directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the Birthplace. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment. Provides for a safe environment for patients and visitors. Utilizes the chain of command when necessary to ensure patient well-being and appropriateness of care to newborns and mothers during the antepartum and postpartum periods.

- - Certs: BLS, NRP, ACLS, Adv-AWHONN. Min 2 years of experience
- - Ratios: 1 to 1 or 1 to 4
- - EMR: Cerner
- - Charge Nurse: Yes
- - Nurse Aides: No
- - Holidays: Work in perm staff rotation
- - Scrub Color: Ceil Blue (Hospital issued)
- - Tele: No
- - Vents: No
- - IV Team: No
- - RT 24/7: Yes
- - Pharmacy 24/7: Not 24/7
- - Floating: Help out in MedMed primarily for tasking
- - Floor specific orientation: At least 2 days per unit that they will be floating to, as well as based on experience & comfort level.
- - Common diagnosis / Types of patients: L&D RP
- - Additional Notes: 150-175 Births per year. Could be only L&D nurse on site (try to have a 2nd L&D nurse on call) During c-sections will be expected to take care of baby w/ assist of RT & anesthia. 36 weeks & less are usually sent to Rogue Valley Medford or sometimes life-flighted to Mercy Redding.
