RN / LPN Charge Nurse NIGHTS (7P-7A)

Description

Westminster Canterbury of Lynchburg, a 5-Star rated Continuing Care Retirement Community in Central VA is seeking an RN/LPN Charge Nurse to join our team! Full-time, night shift position available with complete benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Paid Time Off, 403B with match, and more. We are seeking a Hours for this position are 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM.

• The household nurse follows the guidelines of the nursing practice set to assure compliance of regulatory standards
• The household nurses are partners, teachers, and role models of professional nursing practices for Care Partners and advocates for quality clinical care for the residents. 
• Provides each resident with routing daily nursing care including: passing medications, observing the Resident's condition and communicating them to the Director of Nursing as needed.
• Reviews resident clinical record; ensures accuracy of daily orders and documents scanned into medical record. 
• Answers questions regarding Resident's welfare, care, and general condition.
• Implements the plan of care and delegated medical concerns. 
• Maintains cleanliness of medication area in household: resident medication cabinets and refrigerator.
• Coach and collaborate with Care Partners in providing optimum healthcare for the residents by reporting symptoms of the resident's condition to the appropriate healthcare professional. 
• Administer medications via orally, subdermal, and intramuscular and carry out treatment orders.

Requirements

Valid unencumbered Virginia RN or LPN license

Graduate of an accredited and state-approved school of nursing

Prefer experience with dementia

CPR First Aid
