RN Manager, Labor and Delivery

Talent Consultants is seeking a dedicated and experienced RN Manager for our Labor and Delivery department to provide top-quality patient care and leadership in our healthcare facility. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our nursing team delivers high standards of care to mothers and newborns during one of the most critical times in their lives. The RN Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, staff management, and the development and implementation of protocols that ensure the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities

• Oversee the Labor and Delivery unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient operations.
• Supervise and support nursing staff, providing guidance and mentorship to enhance their skills.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing protocols and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, and other specialists to coordinate patient care.
• Manage staffing schedules, ensuring adequate coverage and support for the team.
• Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations of nursing staff.
• Develop and conduct educational programs for staff on best practices in labor and delivery.

• Current RN licensure and certification in the state of practice.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing; Master's degree preferred or in progress.
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery, with at least 2 years in a management role.
• Strong knowledge of maternal and neonatal care practices and protocols.
• Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and staff.
• Ability to analyze data and utilize it for decision-making and quality improvement purposes.
