RN - NIGHT SHIFT

Description

Provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician in

accordance with established facility protocol, local, state, and federal regulations. To lead and/or direct licensed, certified and non-professional staff in the delivery of direct resident care.

Requirements

1. Assess the overall status of the residents and document in the medical record
2. Monitor the residents activity and provide nursing care in accordance with physician orders, care plans, local, state and federal      regulations as well established facility protocol
3. Coordinate, prepare for and assist with new admissions, transfers, and discharges.
4. Communicate with residents, family members, other disciplines,  and health care professionals regarding the status of the resident.
5. Lead and monitor licensed personnel and other professional and non­professional in the delivery of resident care.
6. Schedule job assignments and duties.
7. Monitor the environment and care practices of the personnel in order to ensure compliance with established fire, disaster,      safety, Infection Control and Blood-borne Pathogen programs.
8. Assist with developing and implementing written care plans for individual residents.
9. Delegate duties to nursing personnel.
10. Make daily rounds in order to make sure that nursing  staff are performing their assigned duties in accordance with facility      established protocol.
11. Assist with MDS+ and Total Care Plan meetings as indicated.
12. Assist on the floor as needed.
