RN - Operating Room

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and demonstrate exceptional patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. As an Operating Room Nurse, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and comfort of patients undergoing surgical procedures while collaborating closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals.

Duties

• Prepare patients for surgery by conducting thorough physical examinations and assessments.
• Assist in the administration of anesthesia and monitor patients' vital signs throughout the procedure.
• Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to strict infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient outcomes.
• Perform IV insertion and manage tube feeding as required during surgical procedures.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record system, including Epic.
• Provide post-operative care, including monitoring patients in the ICU or recovery areas.
• Engage in behavioral health assessments when necessary to support holistic patient care.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in critical care nursing.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Proven experience in an operating room or critical care setting is preferred.
• Proficiency in IV insertion and tube feeding techniques.
• Familiarity with botulinum toxin treatment protocols is a plus.
• Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient-centered care.

Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (09:00 - 21:30)
