Position Summary

Join our dynamic surgical team as a Registered Nurse (RN), where you’ll deliver exceptional, patient-centered care across all age groups. Working under the guidance of the Surgical Services Manager, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes while fostering a compassionate and supportive environment for patients and families.

What You’ll Do

As a key member of our care team, you will:

• Conduct patient histories and comprehensive pre-operative assessments


• Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient charts


• Monitor and document vital signs and patient conditions


• Carry out pre- and post-operative physician and anesthesia orders


• Provide clear, compassionate education to patients and families


• Manage post-operative pain and nausea effectively


• Monitor surgical sites and patient recovery progress


• Assist surgeons during endoscopic procedures


• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans


• Create a welcoming, calm, and supportive environment for patients

What You’ll Need

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program


• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Colorado


• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification


• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (upon hire or within 6 months)

Preferred:

• Minimum of 2 years of PACU experience

• Reports to: Manager, Surgery Unit


• Supervises: Assigned unlicensed assistive personnel


• Collaborates with: Physicians, surgical teams, radiology staff, and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals


• Supports and communicates with patients and their families
