RN - Per Diem - Pain Management

Job Summary:

Pain Management RN  supports our Pain Management Interventionalist during procedures in a hospital-based procedure room. This position plays a key role in delivering high-quality, safe, and compassionate care to patients undergoing interventional pain procedures.

The RN will be responsible for pre- and post-procedural patient care, including assessments, monitoring, and education, as well as direct procedural support, including assisting the physician and managing conscious sedation in accordance with hospital policies and protocols.

This is a per diem role with consistent weekly hours, scheduled one day per week on Thursdays, from approximately 6:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The RN will be employed by the hospital and will collaborate closely with the proceduralist and interdisciplinary care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and procedural efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare patients for interventional pain procedures, including assessments and IV placement.
• Provide intra-procedural support, including sterile technique assistance and conscious sedation monitoring.
• Deliver post-procedural care, including recovery monitoring and discharge education.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, safety standards, and documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with physicians and other team members to ensure seamless, patient-centered care.

Qualifications:

• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Current RN license in good standing.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience; procedural or sedation experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
