Medical Edge Recruitment has an immediate opening for a RN (Registered Nurse)*Specialty:* Psychiatric - Behavioral Health *Location:* Jackson, Louisiana *Facility type:* Psychiatric Hospital *Pay Rate: $50 per hour**Start Date:* 6/3/2024*Type: 14 Week Contract**Shift/Hours:* 12 hour shifts (Nights with rotating weekends)*Duties Include:** Assesses patients by physical examination including pertinent diagnostic testing to determine health status. * Administers medications and treatments. * Participates in the care planning process and oversees implementation of the plan. * Supervises LPNs and nursing assistants. * Communicates with physicians regarding changes in conditions, diagnostic test results, etc. * Documents assessments and care in compliance with standards of care and company policy. * Educates patients and their families on health-related issues. *Requirements** Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school of Nursing. * Psych or Behavioral Health experience required * Correctional experience is a plus * Valid State licensure as an RN. * Minimum 1-2 years of experience * Current BLS certification. * COVID VACCINATION IS MANDATORY but will accept exemptions
