RN (Registered Nurse)- Assisted Living/ Memory Care- $50-$60/ Hour

Interim HealthCare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Community Staffing team!  The position would be supporting assisted living/memory care communities throughout the Twin Cities area.  The current need is in Bloomington.  The RN will  play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and health of our senior residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in geriatric nursing and a passion for providing high-quality care to elderly individuals.  Come join our amazing team of healthcare professionals!

Pay rate:  $50-$60/hour 

Schedule:  Monday- Friday 8a-4:30p or 8:30a-5p

Responsibilities:

• Case Management for residents in an assisted living/ memory care facility including comprehensive health assessments, medication management, and overall health status monitoring.


• Supervising a CNA's/ PCA's 


• Medication management adn BP checks


• Wound care


• Provide health education to residents and their families on various topics such as disease management, preventative care, and healthy lifestyle choices.


• Coordinate and communicate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure comprehensive and holistic care for residents.


• Respond to medical emergencies promptly and efficiently, following established protocols and providing immediate care as needed.


• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and communications related to resident care.


• Foster open and transparent communication with residents, their families, and staff to promote a positive and collaborative care environment.

Requirements:

• RN degree from an accredited school of nursing.


• Current and valid RN license in the state of Minnesota.


• Previous experience in geriatric nursing.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.


• A compassionate and empathetic approach to working with senior residents.


• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.


• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
