RN Residency Coordinator

Job Summary

The purpose of this role is to be the primary steward for the day to day function of Grady’s nationally accredited Nurse Residency program. This role is essential in creating a bridge for nurses that have been licensed as an Associate or Bachelor’s degree nurse while they transition from nursing student to professional nurse. The role will partner with the organization in all aspects of the Nurse Residency Program from hiring processes, through classes within the first year, and through to graduation from the 1-year program. As the coordinator, this role will not be responsible for direct reports but work collaboratively with the leaders and educators that the RN Residents report to in order to ensure success in the RN Resident development and assimilation to their roles/ the organization.

This position would report to the Nursing Professional Development department and more specifically to the Manager of Orientation and Onboarding.

Requirements:

• A Bachelors of Science in Nursing is required

• Current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse required

• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) health care provider card required

• A team player who is approachable and collaborative.

• Experience including Nursing Education

• Applicants should have high computer proficiency with specific knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
