Job Summary
This RN position will serve as a resource to the patients within our community that are established within the Summit Pacific Clinic system. The RN will provide triage availability either by phone, or in person to respond to clinical questions or concerns presented by patients. The RN will manage provider workload messages, patient portal messages and messages concerning patients within the EMR, as well as delegate tasks to providers, schedulers and medical assistants as needed. Following nursing protocols, this position will also assist providers by helping refill provider approved chronic medications as well as other nursing duties. The RN is responsible for learning how to operate all technological equipment utilized in the unit. The functions performed require judgment based upon the application of scientific knowledge and are guided by the established philosophy and policies of the organization and the unit.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provides telephone and occasional in person triage regarding symptom assessment, information, intervention and appropriate provider referral for patients. Manages provider workload messages and responds to workload messages regarding patients within EMR and patient portal. Documents and updates electronic medical records accurately.
Completes complex medication reconciliation and refill of medications. Provide oversite of Medication Management when onsite at clinics as needed from time-to-time.
Attends and supports In-service education programs.
Works with Clinic Manager to develop training program and evaluate success of program.
Special projects and other related duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience
Required Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations
Current and unrestricted Washington State RN license. Current BLS certification required within 60-days of hire. ACLS certification encouraged.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Ability to work independently performing a wide variety of duties that require the use of independent judgment, advanced problem-solving, critical thinking, organization and prioritization skills. Ability to cultivate effective partnerships and work in collaboration with providers, other health care professionals, managers and patients. Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation and records.
