Shift: primarily day shift and evening/night call

Weekends: rotating call shifts
Holidays: rotating call shifts
*Pay Range: $38.92-$58.37

What you’ll get to do in this role:

Competent in all areas of surgical and procedural services to include pre and post care, post anesthesia recovery, circulating, endoscopy, PICC lines, paracentesis, etc.

Adhere to Patient’s Bill of Rights for all patients.

Supports the growth agenda for Surgical Services.

Performs and documents ongoing assessments including observation, physical examination, laboratory/test results, and patient response to procedural intervention.

Participates in the identification and clarification of patient needs, as evidenced by participation in multidisciplinary care planning, to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Reviews and revises plan of care according to change in patient’s status.

Implements plan of care according to identified physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.

Utilizes effective verbal and written communication skills through the presentation of pertinent information.

Incorporates patient teaching/discharge planning to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Coordinates and documents appropriate discharge planning and referrals to ensure continuity of care after discharge.

Embraces change and continuously identifies opportunities for improvement by demonstrating a commitment to utilizing evidence-based practice.

Participates in staff development and governance - attends staff in-service programs, serves on committees as requested, participates in activities and decisions of the department.

All job duties will be performed and documented according to established policies of OSHA, EPA, The Joint Commission, federal, state, and local agencies, as well as the guidelines of LifeCare Medical Center.
