VNA Hospice NWI is expanding and looking for team members that will enable us to manage our growth and provide exceptional care for our patients.

VNA Hospice NWI is Hiring:

Full-time, On-call RN Home Hospice

$65,000 - 80,000 based on previous experience

 $8,000 BONUS (bonus based on FTE Status and experience) 

Every other weekend Friday 4:30 pm- Monday 8:00 am on-call

Two alternating shifts during the weekday 4:30 pm- 8:00 am on-call

Coverage Area: Porter, LaPorte, Starke, Jasper, Newton and Lake County, mileage paid 

SUMMARY:

Patient care visits, admissions, phone triage are all required. Hospice experience NOT required. Must be a registered nurse (RN).

Requirements

Qualifications/Education:

1. Licensure: Must have and maintain a license as a registered professional nurse by the state of Indiana. Minimum of Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

2. The diploma must be from an approved school of professional nursing. A minimum of one year of medical/surgical, critical care or oncology experience in a hospital setting, nursing home, ECF, or home care is preferred. Previous hospice experience and/or demonstrates understanding and support of the hospice philosophy and concept preferred. Must be sensitive to issues of loss and grief.

3. Excellent communication and organizational skills

4. Must maintain current BLS CPR certification.

5. Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
