Purpose of Position:
This team member is responsible for providing safe, effective and efficient care to patients in a specialty clinic setting. The nurse must be able to provide leadership in all situations, including responsible for emergencies, utilizing concepts of critical thinking and creative problem solving to ensure positive outcomes. Provide care coordination services for multiple specialties.

1. We seek a versatile RN/LPN who can transition to support providers in our specialty clinic. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to enhance your skills across multiple specialties.
2. Provide professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices.
3. This nurse also coordinates care, ensures continuity across the patient journey, upholds clinical protocols and regulatory standards. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential in this role.
4. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere as well as autonomously.
5. The nurse is responsible for assessing patient needs, providing direct patient care, administering medications and treatments, assisting with procedures, and educating patients and families. This may include face to face, video, or telephone encounter.
6. Works directly with the Specialty Clinic Referral Management and Scheduling Department. Review referrals for acceptance and communicate scheduling needs.
7. Support interdisciplinary healthcare team through supervision, education, and training of other clinic team members including medical assistants. The Specialty Clinic RN/LPN is a key participant in the health care team providing problem solving, escalation of patient care issues, outreach to patient and families, and coordination of services and care activities within the clinic setting and community.
8. Completes mandatory education and competency assessment requirements.

Education, Qualifications, Experience:
Must be an LPN or RN and hold current license in State of Kansas
Must have BLS, ACLS, (PALS optional)
Must have interpersonal skills. Capable of mature and independent judgment.
Expectation of Service: Full-time, Part-time, PRN position
Physical Requirements: Occasional sitting, frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting/carrying 10-35 pounds; frequent reaching/grasping, twisting, pulling/pushing, occasional exposure to sharp instruments.
Typical Working Conditions:
Risk of being exposed to blood borne diseases
Contact of patients under a wide variety of circumstances
May be exposed to occasional different patient elements
Exposed to unpleasant elements (injuries and illness)
Subject to varying and unpredictable situations
Occasionally subjected to irregular hours and weekend clinics if agreed upon.
May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases
May be exposed to hazardous body fluids and wastes
Subject to burns and cuts.

Requirements

Education, Qualifications, Experience:
Must be an LPN or RN and must have experience in a clinical settings position.

Physical Requirements: Occasional sitting, frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting/carrying 10-35 pounds; frequent reaching/grasping, twisting, pulling/pushing, occasional exposure to Sharp instruments. Frequent exposure to equipment. Continuously writing in English and working irregular hours.
