The Day to Day
Travel to customer sites daily within NH, VT, ME and MA to perform routine maintenance and service on customer equipment.
Complete service in the estimated time frames communicated to customers.
Notify manager of additional work needed or any delays in expected completion.
Collaborate with Service Writer to provide information and details when writing up work orders.
Complete all required paperwork, truck inventory and billing.
Maintain technical qualification by completing any necessary training programs including attending Bobcat University.
Account for and document all time and for all materials used in performing assigned duties.
Maintain a clean and safe work vehicle to complete assigned work within the established guidelines.
Maintain the condition of company vehicles, inventory, equipment and tools.
Attend safety training, comply with and maintain full understanding of State and federal regulations.
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
Secure construction equipment and other equipment, by means of chaining, strapping, and blocking.
Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned road service vehicle and equipment.
Requirements
Must-Haves to Qualify
2-3 years experience with equipment maintenance and repair experience, road service preferred, not required
Ability to travel daily locally within NH, ME, VT and MA.
Must 21 years old, have a current driver’s license in good standing, a clean driving record and solid work history.
Must be able to pass DOT drug test and DOT physical and obtain medical card.
Must have satisfactory results of a criminal background screening.
Must be competent at operating compact construction equipment.
Ability to apply knowledge of DOT regulations.
Possess a complete set of basic mechanic hand tools.
Proficiency with a computer.
Must demonstrate integrity, adaptability and a strong customer service focus.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift 75 lbs. assisted or unassisted
Ability to reach, bend, lift, crouch and other related physical activities
Ability to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
Ability to be exposed to extreme weather conditions, moving machinery, and mechanical parts.
Important stuff to know
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm. Overtime required based on circumstances. But, no weekends!
Work location: Travel locally each day within NH, VT, ME and MA
Pay: competitive salary based on experience - entry-level through experienced encouraged to apply
Benefits eligible position: Short waiting period (1st of month following 30 days of employment)
