Rod Person A

GovFirst is seeking to hire multiple Rod Person A positions to support field survey operations across various locations in Virginia, including Bristol, Culpeper, Fredericksburg, Hampton Roads, Lynchburg, Northern Virginia, Richmond, Salem, and Staunton within the Transportation Operations Division. These positions will assist survey crews in data collection and GPS operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up survey equipment such as tripods and prisms to collect accurate field data.
  

• Provide field support for the survey team during data collection activities.
  

• Label topographic features based on field codes and documentation standards.
  

• Perform calculations and conduct field investigations to assist in survey tasks.
  

• Complete accurate data entry and maintain organized records of field activities.
  

• Assist with general GPS operations to support survey measurements and data accuracy.
  

Requirements

• Ability to set up and operate survey equipment accurately and efficiently.
  

• Strong understanding of field data collection and topographic labeling procedures.
  

• Ability to perform calculations and conduct investigations in outdoor field environments.
  

• Proficient in data entry and documentation.
  

• Familiarity with GPS technology and field measurement tools is preferred.
  

• Ability to work as part of a team and assist in various survey operations.
