Rodbuster- Commercial Concrete Construction

T&T Construction is hiring a Full-time Rodbuster to help oversee multi-location job sites including equipment, labor, and materials for our commercial concrete division in Souderton, PA Area. 

Reports to: Rodbuster Superintendent

Purpose of Position

Continually evaluate the progress of each rebar placement to ensure that Safety, Quality, and rod setting Procedures are maintained in accordance with company policy and ASTM’s. Complete every rebar setting project ensuring that the total satisfaction of our customers and the goals of the company are achieved.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Extensive experience is required with no less than 2 to 5 years’ experience as a Rodbuster. This position requires, the ability to read construction drawings, superior organizational, supervisory and communication skills. A self-motivated individual that is detail oriented with the ability to complete multiple tasks with consistency and accuracy. Exceptional follow-up skills are required, and the candidate should possess the ability to adapt to change and keep the project moving forward. Communication skills include verbal as well as written. The capabilities to think ahead, identify and resolve potential problems is a must. Must provide or be able to obtain OSHA 10-hour certification. Knowledge ASTM and standard building practices. Bilingual is a plus. This position requires to travel and must have reliable transportation.

• Safely lift 50 lbs. at any given time during the shift

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Position and secure steel bars, rods, cables, or mesh in concrete forms, using fasteners, rod-bending machines, blowtorches, or hand tools.


• Space and fasten together rods in forms according to instructions on drawings.


• Cut and fit wire mesh or fabric, using hooked rods, and position fabric or mesh in concrete to reinforce concrete.


• Communicate with coworkers and supervisors if a problem or concern arises.


• Adhere to T&T Construction safety standards including the PPE required for the area.


• This is a full-time position that may vary outside the normal work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Depending on the area you work in; the shift may require working in the early morning or at night. Rodbuster Foreman must be available. 24/7 and willing to travel.


• Personal protective equipment will be required for most areas to work, including boots, hardhat, and gloves. Depending on the position you work in, safety glasses, hearing protection, dust mask and other PPE may be required.

Performance Evaluations are conducted after the first 90 days and annually thereafter or as deemed necessary by the Supervisor.
