Rodman - Survey

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Rodman to join our survey team. In this role, you will travel to various survey sites and perform a variety of duties to support the survey team effectively. 

What you will do:

• Ensure the safety of all crew members, clients, & the public.
• Ensure that all equipment needed is loaded and ready to use.
• Ensure that all equipment is properly maintained.
• Maintain adequate supplies in the truck.
• Keep truck and equipment clean and organized.
• Carry survey supplies during the collection of necessary survey data.
• Place stakes at designated points and drives them into ground at specified elevation, using hammer or hatchet.
• Cut and clear brush and trees for data collection, using brush hook, knife, ax, or other cutting tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

You are flexible and adaptable with excellent attention to detail. You have good problem-solving ability and leverage your math and technical skills to do so. Safety is in your DNA, and you follow all protocols consistently. You have above average communication skills both oral and in writing resulting in providing excellent customer service.

• Possess the ability to work well with people and to create a self-motivating work environment. 
• Ability to accurately read various measuring devices.
• Ability to understand the use of and operate all department owned survey equipment.
• Ability to safely operate equipment such as chainsaws, machetes, and other tools.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment while paying attention to details.
• Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and carry equipment.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic math skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
